About Polar Exped
Polar Exped was founded to help people explore the polar and arctic regions. To make them accessible to people who dream of exploring those beautiful landscapes but are not sure how to go about it and where to start. It's a whole different world out there and having someone guide you through the whole journey, from training, gear, preparation and during the expedition will make the whole experience easier, safer and much more enjoyable. We're here to help!
Robert Lewandowski
Living in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, with no mountains in sight, Robert fell in love with Scandinavia and especially the cold Arctic climate and has been coming back every year. Wanting to make these experiences accessible to others he founded Polar Exped.
Besides touring in Sweden & Norway, Robert enjoys climbing in the Alps and mountaineering the Himalaya. Previous climbs include various 4000m+ peaks in France and Italy and the 6119m summit of Lobuche East, neighboring Mount Everest in Nepal. Chamonix Mont Blanc is also where Robert learned from the best mountain guides like David Ravanel.
Skiing expeditions have also taken him to the Greenland Ice Cap. One of the future dreams is to visit Antarctica and ski to the South Pole.
